Joan White is an accomplished violinist who currently resides in Howard County and teaches 7th & 8th grade students at the Acacia Academy in Kokomo.  Originally from New Jersey, Mrs. White graduated from Rutgers University, New Jersey, with a Bachelors Degree in Music and pursued graduate studies at Wichita State University which she completed at Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana.  Mrs. White has performed with numerous chamber and symphonic groups in the New Jersey area (too numerous to name), the Wichita Symphony (Kansas), and is currently a member of the Marion Philharmonic, the Lafayette Symphony, the Kokomo Symphony Orchestra, Miranda String Quartet, and the Bach Trio (which includes two other band members Trudy Whitford, flute, and Jennifer Kirkman,  bassoon).
