We’ve missed you!!!! While Covid-19 forced us to suspend concerts with our full-sized band, the KPB was able to provide performances utilizing our smaller groups.

Curbside Concerts - Kokomo Farmers Market, Civic Center Tower, Terrace Tower
In accordance with state Covid-19 guidelines, an event plan was submitted to and approved by the Howard County Board of Health. This included encouraging face coverings and maintaining appropriate social distancing. Benches were spaced 6 feet apart and lawn chairs were allowed outside the “benched” area with signage regarding distancing. Hand sanitizer and masks were made available.

June 26 “Circus Days” - Music for the big top and carnivals with special guests from the Peru Circus. Featuring tuba soloist William Schmidt. July 3 "From Sea to Shining Sea" Sponsored by Bayliff, Harrigan, Cord, Maugans The KPB celebrates the “4th of July” featuring the the Albert E. Shockey Marine Corps League Color Guard, vocalist Cody Kopka and the Kokomo Park Singers & the "Howard County Band Directors" Trumpet Trio. The program will recognize our military veterans and provide a musical tribute to our nation and its people. (Rain location-Havens Auditorium IU-K) July 10 “Big Band Night” - Sponsored by Stout Funeral Home and Crematory with Guest Conductor “Mo” Trout featuring the KPB Swing Orchestra, a hybrid group of the region’s finest jazz musicians with vocalists Cherresa Lawson & Gary Wallyn. July 17 “Brass Band Night”- includes music from the Civil War, Salvation Army Brass Bands and British Brass Bands and modern selections. AT 7:00 - INSTRUMENT PETTING ZOO FOR KIDS AND SPECIAL GUESTS - THE KOKOMO HIGH SCHOOL MARCHING WILDCATS July 24 “The Great American Songbook” - Sponsored by McGavic’s Outdoor Power Music of Cole Porter, George Gershwin and others. Featuring the Retired Rum Runners Dixieland Jazz Band, the Kokomo Men of Note, vocal soloists and Saxophonist Neil Broeker. July 31 - Grand Finale: “South of the Border” - featuring trumpeter Bruce Knepper and music from Mexico, South America and the Caribbean.

- JUNE 8, 2016 - Season Opener: “Spring into Summer” Celebrating area activities for the summer season and features the Kokomo Jackrabbits mascot, a trumpet trio featuring 3 Howard County Band Directors, vocalist Sally Duke and the Retired Rum-Runners Dixieland Band
- JUNE 15, 2016 - “The British Invasion” An evening of music from the British Isles ranging from Vaughn Williams to the Beatles. Featuring Todd McCready, Euphonium Soloist.
- JUNE 22, 2016 - “Spotlight on Youth” Showcasing the Multi-Cultural Youth Rhythm Workshop Ensemble directed by Art Reiner (beginning at 7:15) and Noah Connolly, the KPB High School Student Soloist Competition Winner. on English Horn
- JUNE 29, 2016 - From Sea to Shining Sea Celebrating the “4th of July” with this patriotic program featuring the Albert E. Shockey Marine Corps League Color Guard and the Kokomo Park Singers. The program recognized our military veterans, and provides a musical tribute to our nation and its people.
- JULY 6, 2016 - Big Band Night Anderson University's Director of Jazz Ensembles John Huntoon leading the KPB Swing Orchestra, a hybrid group of the region’s finest jazz musicians with vocalists Gary Wallyn, Cheressa Lawson and special guest vocalist Erin Benedict.
- JULY 13, 2016 - Side By Side Outstanding high school musicians performing alongside seasoned professionals in a program led by celebrated guest conductor Brayer Teague. Featuring Sergeant Kyle Kemps, USMC, Clarinet Soloist.
- JULY 20, 2016 - “Now ! That’s Entertainment" From the Broadway stage to Dixieland Jazz, this concert taps into the music that has pleased audiences for generations. Featuring flutist Trudy Whitford. THIS CONCERT IS DEDICATED TO THE MEMORY OF KPB PERCUSSIONIST KARL GILBERT Beginning at 7PM, children may explore various instruments at the “Instrument Petting Zoo.”
- JULY 27, 2016 - “Indiana Bicentennial Celebration” This season grand finale extravaganza features the Kokomo Men of Note Barbershop Chorus, vocalist Gary Wallyn, the Retired Rum Runners Dixie Band and Purdue’s Golden Girl.
