Curt Alexander, Announcer

Curt Alexander is in his sixth season as emcee of the Kokomo Park Band. Curt, who owns Spectrum Photography, has a broadcasting background that has guided him to this point. He started in the radio business in 1982, doing time in Attica, New York before making his way to the Midwest with a news reporter’s position in Elkhart. He eventually became the news director at that radio station, and served in the same capacity when he relocated to WIOU in Kokomo.     Curt stayed in the news business when he made a career transition to newspaper writing, at the Kokomo Perspective, where he served as editor for four years. In 1998 he left that field entirely to start his photography business and now can claim to be the longest serving full-time photographer serving Howard County.

Euphonium  soloist Todd McCready teaches instrumental music at Fishers High School and, prior to that, he taught band for six years at Riverside Junior High. Mr. McCready holds degrees from Purdue University (Chemistry) and the IU Jacobs School of Music (Music Education, Euphonium), and was a 2002 graduate of Lawrence Central High School. He has actively performed on euphonium and trombone as a section member and soloist with several area ensembles, including Indianapolis Brass Choir, Indiana Wind Symphony, Fishers Wind Symphony, and Kokomo Park Band. In 2013, he co-founded Fishers Music Works, where he leads the Nickel Plate Jazz Orchestra. Mr. McCready lives in Fishers with his wife, Cait, and two kids.
